Widely recognized as one of the most important economic opportunities in state history, the 600 acres of state-owned property in Draper known as “The Point” will create a national model for sustainable development. The Point Framework Plan has just been released, showcasing key elements such as an innovation accelerator, business core, mixed-use residential, retail and entertainment opportunities, extensive parks and open space and multiple transportation options such as biking, walking, roads and transit.
This plan provides solid direction to guide future development that includes built-in flexibility to respond to changing conditions. Underpinned by robust market analysis, extensive data gathering, and input from over 10,000 Utahns during the visioning and planning phases, the plan outlines a clearly articulated and carefully considered approach for what is arguably the most important economic opportunity in Utah history. Executive Director Alan Matheson will present the plan and its key elements.
